Diligencens tyvegods

Billedresultat for sidste diligence til lykkens by

Her er Jokums programtekst:

Hvilken én vælger man at bygge?

Cheena so sound, so titty up this Malchick, say
Party up moodge, ninety vellocet round on Tuesday
Real bad dizzy snatch making all the homies mad, Thursday
Popo blind to the polly in the hole by Friday
Where the fuck did Monday go?
I'm go to this Giggenbach show
I'm sailin' in the chestnut tree
Who the fuck's gonna mess with me?

Girl loves me
Hey cheena
Girl don't speak
Girl loves me
Hey cheena
Girl don't speak

Where the fuck did Monday go?
I'm go to this Giggenbach show

Two viddy at the Cheena
Two [Disney?] with the Red Rock
Yippie loving little zipshot
Professor wanshot yarbles
Snatch her weapons rush off
Splitter ded from his deng deng
Viddy viddy at the Cheena

Girl don't speak
Girl loves me

Kommentarer:

“Popo blind to the polly in the hole by Friday”
–Police being paid off to turn the other way

It’s a mix of Nadsat and Polari, plus – to keep it extra fun – his own bespoke cutup technique he and Brian Eno used on Outside. This will a fun challenge if he doesn’t release liners!
–interpret of line 1: A woman so attractive she could use it to manipulate someone (titty up = influence a boss with female attributes)

Thats great that cheena means woman. I was getting a strong chine girl vibe from the chorus. Im eager to make out the couple missing lines. This is more than a clockwork orange, for sure.. But what else is it?

I’m go to this Giggenbach show

“Two viddy at the Cheena
Two Disney [??} with a Red Rock
Yippie loving it so fitzo
[?}Professor wanshot[/?] garbles
Stack ya weapons rush off
Splitter dead from his deng deng”
My best shot, but uncertain as you can see, in a couple of places. Poring over Clockwork Orange appendix, (‘Deng’ means money) could have sworn I heard ‘devotchka’ (girl) but seems not…

Party up moodge [man], ninety vellocet [drug] round on Tuesday
‘I’m sailin’ in the chestnut tree', I think…

This is from a Rolling Stone article: “the lyrics to "Girl Loves Me” come from Polari, a form of British slang used by gay men in mid-20th-century London. “He also took some words from A Clockwork Orange,” says Visconti. “The lyrics are wacky, but a lot of British people, especially Londoners, will get every word.”

*
Polari (or alternatively Parlare, Parlary, Palare, Palarie, Palari; from Italian parlare, "to talk") is a form of cant slang used in Britain by actors, circus and fairground showmen, merchant navy sailors, criminals, prostitutes, and the gay subculture. There is some debate about its origins,[3] but it can be traced back to at least the nineteenth century and possibly the sixteenth century.[4] There is a long-standing connection with Punch and Judy street puppet performers who traditionally used Polari to converse.

**
Nadsat is a fictional register or argot used by the teenagers in Anthony Burgess's novel A Clockwork Orange. In addition to being a novelist, Burgess was a linguist[1] and he used this background to depict his characters as speaking a form of Russian-influenced English. The name itself comes from the Russian suffix equivalent of "-teen" as in "thirteen" (-надцать, -nad·tsat'). Nadsat was also used in Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation of the book.

I know something is very wrong
The post returns for prodigal sons
With blackout harks with flowered muse
With skull designs upon my shoes

I can't give everything
I can't give everything
Away
I can't give everything
Away

Seeing more and feeling less
Saying no but meaning yes
This is all I ever meant
That's the message that I sent

I can't give everything
I can't give everything
Away
I can't give everything
Away

I can't give everything
I can't give everything
Away
I can't give everything
Away

I know something is very wrong
The post returns for prodigal sons
The blackout harks with flowered muse
With skull designs upon my shoes

I can't give everything
I can't give everything
Away
I can't give everything
Away

I can't give everything
I can't give everything
Away
I can't give everything
Away

Jeg kan ikke give det hele
Jeg kan ikke give det hele
Bort
Jeg kan ikke give det hele
Bort

Ser mere og føler mindre
Siger ja men mener nej

Det er alt jeg nogensinde har ment
Det er budskabet jeg sendte

DET VIGTIGSTE I DAG (BORTSET FRA DIN PÅ 4. TIME ONGOING HÅRFARVNING!)!

Instruktøren af videoen Johan Renck i interview:

"But the character there, we named him Button Eyes, I was there when that character was born. It’s not like, ‘hmm, what can we do that’s cool and different, that people will be interested in?’ He sent me drawings. He just said, ‘I want a mask with buttons for eyes.’
There’s something to be said for a man who doesn’t create an image to run it into the ground. How many musicians do that? They build a brand. They build an aesthetic.
What I didn’t do is ask ‘what is he?’ Because I’m not interested in that. I’m interested in what comes out of him, and interested in Button Eyes. So in the video there are clearly two characters—there’s Button Eyes, who’s introverted, a sort of tormented blind guy. And then we have this other guy who’s a flamboyant trickster in the middle of it, selling us the message in the other part of the song.
Word, with that book embossed with the blackstar.
No, that’s the third character! The priest guy. If you look upon all the characters he’s created over time, and there’s quite a few, some of them have names, some of them don’t. Some of them only exist in the lyrics in songs.
Some of them went on tour.
Exactly! But they’re all characters, and they all mean something. And it’s all true."

In the villa of Ormen, in the villa of Ormen
Stands a solitary candle, ah-ah, ah-ah
In the centre of it all, in the centre of it all
Your eyes

On the day of execution, on the day of execution
Only women kneel and smile, ah-ah, ah-ah
At the centre of it all, at the centre of it all
Your eyes, your eyes

Ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah

In the villa of Ormen, in the villa of Ormen
Stands a solitary candle, ah-ah, ah-ah
In the centre of it all, in the centre of it all
Your eyes
Ah-ah-ah

Something happened on the day he died
Spirit rose a metre and stepped aside
Somebody else took his place, and bravely cried
(I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar)

How many times does an angel fall?
How many people lie instead of talking tall?
He trod on sacred ground, he cried loud into the crowd
(I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar, I’m not a gangster)

I can’t answer why (I’m a blackstar)
Just go with me (I’m not a filmstar)
I’m-a take you home (I’m a blackstar)
Take your passport and shoes (I’m not a popstar)
And your sedatives, boo (I’m a blackstar)
You’re a flash in the pan (I’m not a marvel star)
I’m the great I am (I’m a blackstar)

I’m a blackstar, way up, oh honey, I’ve got game
I see right so white, so open-heart it’s pain
I want eagles in my daydreams, diamonds in my eyes
(I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar)

Something happened on the day he died
Spirit rose a metre and stepped aside
Somebody else took his place, and bravely cried
(I’m a blackstar, I’m a star star, I’m a blackstar)

I can’t answer why (I’m not a gangster)
But I can tell you how (I’m not a flam star)
We were born upside-down (I’m a star star)
Born the wrong way ‘round (I’m not a white star)
(I’m a blackstar, I’m not a gangster
I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar
I’m not a pornstar, I’m not a wandering star
I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar)

In the villa of Ormen stands a solitary candle
Ah-ah, ah-ah
At the centre of it all, your eyes
On the day of execution, only women kneel and smile
Ah-ah, ah-ah
At the centre of it all, your eyes, your eyes
Ah-ah-ah
