MARTS, OG SOM ER EN FANTASTISK HYPER-MELANKOLSK SANG OM AT VÆRE EN MAND FORTABT I TIDEN OG GÅ MED DE DØDE GENNEM BERLIN, SOM MAN GÅR MED ET KOBBEL HUNDE, OG SIKKE OGSÅ EN MEGET SKØN VIDEO, SKABT AF DEN AMERIKANSKE VIDEO(INSTALLATIONS)KUNSTNER TONY OURSLER, HAM MED CREEPY ANSIGTER PÅ TING OG SAGER (KAN SES I KÆLDEREN PÅ AROS) OG HER TRISTE DAVID + EN KVINDE PÅ/SOM EN SLAGS DOBBELTBAMSE I ET ATELIER FULD AF BRIC-A-BRAC (INKL. 1 STORT ØRE - AURICULA!) FORAN KORNEDE BERLIN-BILLEDER, MENS TEKSTEN SKRIVES PÅ SKÆRMEN, OG DEN HAR JEG SKREVET AF NEDENFOR:
Where Are We Now?
had to get the train
from Potzdamer Platz
you never knew that
that I could do that
just walking the dead
sitting in the Dschungel
on Nurnberger Strasse
a man lost in time
near Kadewe
just walking the dead
where are we now?
where are we now?
the moment you know
you know you know
twenty thousand people
cross Bose Brucke
fingers are crossed
just in case
walking the dead
where are we now?
where are we now?
the moment you know
you know you know
as long as there's sun
as long as there's sun
as long as there's rain
as long as there's rain
as long as there's fire
as long as there's fire
as long as there's me
as long as there's you
Tak for at poste denne. Fra The Guardian's kommentarfelt - jeg kunne ikke have sagt det bedre selv: Well I think it's bloody lovely and I'm not a huge fan of anything he's done since Scary Monsters. I'd far rather hear an elder statesman with one of the most innovative and impressive back catalogues in popular music penning reflective, melancholy and frankly age appropriate music than making cocks of themselves like the Stones by still pretending they're 23.
Even when his quality control went completely kaputt (roughly between 1983-1997 to my reckoning), he had taste and perspicacity and if he's decided to "come back" (dreadful phrase) it will be in a manner appropriate to his age and bearing. I don't therefore expect to see him wiggling his bony septugenerian ass on stage with lady Gaga a'la Jagger any time soon (God, please let me be right).
Bowie+Berlin=!!!
SvarSletSuperb sang, håber på et fantastisk album.
Og så er der nyt album på trapperne fra Iceage!!!!!
